The fireworks have stopped and the 4th of July is over until next year. The 4th of July is always the highlight of summer and every year I’m sad to see it end. It’s a day that not only allows us to celebrate the country we live in, but also our summer traditions with family and friends. We hope that each of you had a great holiday. All of us at the bakery enjoyed our well-deserved time off. Graduation season was a huge success and it definitely kept us busy. We would like to thank everyone for their graduation orders. It’s thanks to your loyal business that we will reach our 16th anniversary in October. It’s hard to believe so much time has gone by and that autumn will be here before you know it. However, there are still plenty of barbeques and picnics to be had. We have many desserts that would be the perfect addition to any summertime event. Crazy Cakes!
Are you bored with traditional birthday cakes? Do you want to impress your guests with the most unique and delicious cake? Our crazy cakes may be the answer! We can design 3D stacked pillow cakes or topsy-turvy Mad Hatter cakes. The bright colors, crazy designs, and tilted layers will have all of your guests in awe.

Holiday Hours August 30: 9:00 a.m. – Noon Closed: August 31st, September 1st, and September 2nd. We will reopen on Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 a.m.

Congratulations kids!

Strawberry Swirl We have recently added a new flavor to our menu of cakes and muffins; Strawberry Swirl. All of us at the bakery can’t get enough of it and it’s proving to be very popular.

Special Diet Desserts
As an effort to accommodate each of our friends, we have expanded our special diet menu. Our menu now includes gluten free, sugar free, sodium free, and dairy free products. This August we will be making a vegan wedding cake and it will taste great!

JDRF Benefit
Mary Denning’s Cake Shoppe is honored to be invited to participate in the JDRF Benefit held at Parisian located in Laurel Park Place. The event will be held on September 14th. Tickets can be purchased from Parisian in August. Guests will receive discounts on all purchases and get the chance to sample cuisine from local restaurants, including our Bumpy Cake.

• July 12th: Embrace Your Geekness Day Come into the bakery on this day and explain to us why you are a true geek and receive a free Bumpy Muffin.
• July 17th: Get to Know Your Customers Day Stop by the bakery on this day and introduce yourself to any of the bakery ladies and receive one of our delicious bars for free!
• July 23rd: Gorgeous Grandma Day Visit the bakery with your gorgeous grandma or a picture of her and receive a pack of cupcakes for free!
• August 1st: Girlfriend’s Day Take a trip to the bakery and mention this day and receive two free brownies. One for you and one for your significant other.
• August 16th: Elvis Presley Remembrance Day Swing in the bakery and tell us what your favorite Elvis song is and receive one free coffeecake!
