Spicy Nut Pumpkin Cookies

1 ½ C sugar
½ C butter
1 C pure pumpkin (not pie mix)
1 egg, beaten
3 C flour
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. ginger
¼ tsp. allspice
¼ tsp. cloves
¼ C chopped nuts
¼ C chopped raisins

Cream together sugar and butter. Stir in pumpkin and egg. Sift together flour and spices and add to pumpkin mixtures. Mix well. Add nuts and raisins. Drop by teaspoon onto un-greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375 F. over 10 to 12 minutes.

Makes approx 3-4 dozen
